Awarded in the wider context of The Postcard Hotels
The most memorable hospitality I encountered this year came from a small group that does almost everything the opposite of everyone else. The Postcard Hotels, founded by two former Oberoi leaders, operate on a scale that most brands would consider unworkable; a handful of rooms, very little spectacle, and an obvious preference for people over hardware. They began in India and have since reached Sri Lanka and Bhutan, with Nepal on the way, but the approach remains the same wherever they open.
