Charleston, South Carolina, will soon welcome a Four Seasons. While I’d typically bristle at the idea of this venerable brand adding yet another outpost, the new building is undeniably elegant—both architecturally respectful and well-suited to the timeless charm of this classically conservative city. Meanwhile, Four Seasons Washington, DC, and Four Seasons Silicon Valley have recently completed comprehensive renovations of their suites.

Sonu Shivdasani, the visionary founder of Soneva, and his wife Eva stepped back from day-to-day operations after KSL Capital Partners converted its preference shares to become the majority shareholder. Sonu also relinquished his CEO role, handing the reins to Neil Gallagher, while retaining a significant minority stake. Though no longer at the helm, Shivdasani—widely regarded as a pioneer of sustainable luxury—has made it clear he is far from retiring, with plans to explore new hospitality and wellness ventures. I, for one, simply can’t wait.

Six Senses Bangkok is set to open in 2028 in the city’s historic Silom district, transforming the former Narai Hotel into a sustainably designed urban retreat. Part of the new Hatai mixed-use development and designed by Heatherwick Studio, the hotel will feature around 100 rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, a 700 m² signature suite, and a wellness-focused Six Senses Spa.
