Thank you for the amount — and the quality — of feedback received over the past weeks. It has been unusually rich, and I’ve tried to capture as much as possible in this month’s editorial.
Several readers praised One Aldwych, with one declaring it their favourite London hotel, thanks to a bridge-facing suiteand first-class service, particularly in the lobby bar. Elsewhere in the capital, a stay at The Dorchester was remembered for the smallest of gestures: not a scratchy velcro cable tie, but a gold-embossed leather keepsake with a brass clip. Ravishing, and completely unnecessary — the best kind of luxury.
The Sacher won praise for its old-school charm, impeccable upkeep, and warm sense of tradition.
This month’s feedback spanned Europe, Asia, and beyond: impeccable service in some places, fading glory in others — and a newcomer hailed as the finest city hotel in years.
